A poem for Skyla I am a quite summer's evening... fireflies glittering on the lawn, I am the dark, silent night, And the sunrise at dawn. I am the calm in your heart that you feel when you pray, And the sun peeking out on an otherwise cloudy day. I am the fields of wildflowers that return every spring... I am each happy memory, and the smiles that they bring. I am the welcomed cool breeze on a hot afternoon... The wonder of a shooting star, And the soft glow of the moon. I am autumn's changing leaves, and the whippoorwhill's call... I am the stillness of winter, And it's gentle snowfall. I am the laughter of children playing... Faces turned up to the sun, Remember these moments, For I live on inside each one.
